Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.
The mod will be built in 2 halves. The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment. The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.
1.Not all Asuran ships can cloak, at the moment none will be.
2.Yes they will be getting a ZPM enhanced, but it will NOT be indestructable nor overpowered.
3.Chances of this are slim to none. Honestly, imho, it isnt realistic.

is it possible to get an updated version of the top picture, it only rly shows the human shis. I no im thinking to far ahead but after this is released will you be doing an update for the Gou'ld and/or Asgard. just a thought.
Sure I can do that as soon as I have something to update it with. We already plan on some special stuff for Part 2 of the mod.

Loving your work. Stargate has got to be one of the best TV series to hits the screens full stop. Anyways been modelling in star trek armada II for along time and want something better to play with. How large are the polygons on your ships? and what can Sins take ? (Polygons wise) - Before I go out and buy Sins.

Around 1k triangle for fighter/bomber , 4k triangle for frigate/cruiser , around 12k triangle for capitalship, etc...
In reality, the sins engine seem to accept a more high poly count... have run 50k model in it... if a hardcoded limit exist, i have not yet reach it... some people, for fun have create fleet with more that 10000 ship on screen... each ship using a few k triangles... so, limit are very high... so much poly on screen slow down the game but don't crash it unless your are short in ram...
These number are only guideline... if a model like the atlantis city is very expensive and rare in the game, nothing stop you to use more poly that the guideline... in a other way, if a jumper ( frigate ) is cheap and you are able to build thousand of them, better make a model who is below the 4k...

The highest poly model in the mod at the moment is Atlantis, and that is at 13,556. Average Capital ship is between 6-11K, and frigates are about 2-6K polies. OUr Jumper model is about 2K as it is a fighter, so I think its pretty stable at those levels. I use to mod A2 as well, and think I have seen you around on the forums somewhere.... Im going to shoot you a PM here about possibly having you join the team.

UPDATE: Well today I had some free time, so I decided to rebuild the Tempest Class model. I added a ton of details, changed a bunch of things, heck I replaced the entire mesh with a new one. Here are shots of the new one, and a shot of the Human Fleet thus far.

Is that bottom picture to scale, i dont thing it is. look at the size of that carrier.
Everything is to scale. Carriers are generally longer, to hold more strike craft.
hay eomega what model program do u use to make your ships also great ships adn as to the carrier is does seam a bit samll for it to be a carrier they are generally much bigger than most ships
I use 3ds Max to do all my modeling. The carrier may look small, but she isnt. She will house about 10-15 fighter squadrons of 5.
Here are some shots of the F-302 ingame. Before I put the new 302 ingame, I did a test run to see the weapons on the Bombers, and I found that the weapons were grossly bigger then the F-302. Here is a screen of it.
Now, some time ago I had Lord Set make some missiles, to get them out of the way, and so I dusted one of them off to come up with the new Missile for the 302. So without Further ado, here is the 302 ingame, and with her new missiles.

I haven't read this whole thread, so if this has already been brought up, correct me.
What if someone were to design the Ori ships for you, would you create them then or is it too much of a hassle for a (mostly) secondary race?
And of course, what of the Goa'uld? As weak as their ships are, it'd still be pretty awesome to watch them torn to shreds.
The Goa'uld will be in the second part of the mod. Sort of a Baal Fleet. I plan to make a Hatak, Necropolis, and Anubis Supership. They will not be in the mod till the second half of the mod.
Will there be any plans for this to come to Entrenchment later on adter the beta is over ?
Possibly in the very, very distant future.
I know you get this question ALOT, and you are probably going to get agitated when you read this but... if you (eomega) had to give a theoretical date of when your mod is more or less finished, what date would pop up in your mind? Not anything like, 30th of April or anything but you get the picture. Think of it as a release date as they make on all games out there, its not precise and not too farfetched either. I hope i atleast get an answer in month perspective.
Can you blame my curiosity when you are making the mod of the year? (In my perspective ofcourse)

You ppl don't have to ask when it'll be released... I'm just as excited about this mod as every1 else is. My point being... Making mods aren't like the gaming companies(who still can't ever get a game out on time) who will have predicted release dates. The group probly does not want to state a date in the event that ppl will nag if something halted the progress.
I'm sure they will get to the point of letting the public know when the game will be near completion. So, as stated on the main thread... be patient. The thread will look better when there are more posts about the mod & not of questions about the release date.
LOL so true, even when they do get around to release the game they are FULL of nasty bugs....I think these guys will make a Rockin mod, just hold on, do something els while your waiting...Im reading a book series over again because the last book will come out next year, at least its a long series and will keep me hooked =p (wheel of time rocks =p)
