Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.
The mod will be built in 2 halves. The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment. The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.
iv seen that this mod was started last year or so is there going to be anything released soon weather its a beta or anything to keep some of us die hards are fix untill the final mastpeice is finished??? also everything that is done so far looks awsome atlantis and the jumpers look like the real deal

Please read the top of the thread, there isnt going to be a demo, atleast one isnt planned. Yes while the mod was started almost a year ago, we have been bouncing all over the place jumping from one race to another again and again, working a little here and a little there, making an even pace on each race. the only race that has full models is the Asurans, but they dont have any textures yet. Please be patient, each model takes time to build and texture.
The Design is interesting... if it is for the Humans, their shiplist is already complete, if its for the Asurans, a little tweeking and it might be able to fit right in.

sorry that your question got flooded. Stargates will be used to increase your Economy stats.

Ya I would love to see this ship in that mod and no i didn't intend to have it for the human as its suppose to be for the advent but sure why not for the asuran race. Um also you suggested some tweaking, what kind ? Ive look over for the Atlantian race ships and i find that they have like launch pads for the drones, so i did some modification on the ship and added them launch pad on starboard and port side of this ship. But if u have any other suggestion plz let me know.

Yes, u have to convert the mesh files into some other supportable file that sketchup can open. I would suggest 3d object converter as its better than any other programs for the price. I personally like making ship from scratch, so I don't usually do these conversion but be sure to ask Danman3127 for some advise on this kind of stuff hel help.

The Asurans might be getting sort of a phase gate that would be used as sort of a supergate, havent fully decided if we want to add it in or not.
We are not sure, it depends how fast we work and right now we are all limited in our modding time, whether it is work or school. We are working as fast as we can.
Havent thought of any specials, she will get drone swarms as a basic weapon though.
I cant think of anything specific, would have to take a long look at the model and see what could be done.
Eomega, you may already have told us but im just wondering what parts are left to be done (and the parts that are done) in your (marvelous) mod?
Wow, got to say that Atlantis model is amazing, I could see that being a really head ache. I noticed earlier that you mentioned that the program that akkan117 used was yet another Google program (Google SketchUp) so I thought Id see how badly I could mess up what should be a ship lol. Id add a couple images of what I made bust for the life of me I cant figure out how to insert images!
Alot still needs to be done, the entire Wraith and Asuran tech trees to start, the rest of the models for all the races, textures for ships that need them, Atlantis is still needing to be textured as well, so its hard to say what is done, and what isnt.
UPDATE
The mod is coming along good, everything has been updated to 1.1 status, which helps out alot. Here is a batch of screenshots from a test game of Atlantis vs a human fleet.
