Yeah, I was happy that know that winter was going away, any night work I have to do wouldn't be done in the snow. But what happens last night? No snow, but plenty of damn rain!!
not at all i already commented on it over at ToE -- looks good!
Nice!!!!! The fade lends a delicious air of malice to the eyes and teeth. I may have to steal the idea also. I'll have to cut on the squirrell first, though
I do. My avatar is an icon of the image used for those who do not have an avatar (but only at GC2 and Sins; JU, Elemental, etc use a different image).
I've considered setting a "real" one, but I liked the way I did this.
@ Motti, Do have character name #22 Motti Khan? I was wondering because GmOOnii is #19 in AltMeta. Something tells me that we are getting better. It's a honor to look up to such a great warrior and learn from you on the battle field. Good Hunting.
gmoonii, what is your native language?
Uhmmm I'll write gibberish instead of what i want to type. I just broke my tool box, a few hundred dollars worth of tools and a pair fo brand new spotlights...oh and i got bit by a spider.
Add all that on top of my usual calm and diplomatic demeanor and you will get close to what i wanted to type.
Clearly, this means you're going to turn into Spider-Man.
We should all be so fortunate.
bit by spider + living in australia = cause for worry
any sections of skin started melting yet?
I'm not familiar with Australain spiders, but we have the Black Widow and Brown Relcuse here. A bite by either mandates immediate medical intervention. Get thee to the if you haver not done so already. Some spider bites cause bad, bad damage days later, but do not seem so bad at first.
Australia has the worlds most deadly and venomous spider in the Funnel Web Spider. These things are super aggressive and will chase you. They have fangs over 1 inch long.We have the Black Widow, though we call it the Red Back. Think of them as cousins. Though the Black Widow/Red Back doesn't hold a candle to the Funnel Web.Luckily for me it was neither of these. Looks like it was some kind of Mouse spider. Iv'e had the usaual treatments, i'm ok but don't feel very well at all. Can be life threatening for the young elderly or very sick but should pose no problem to me other than making me crook. What is bothering me more though, is the bite caused me to run over my tool box and brand new spotlights with the car. Spotlights, smashed. Tool box...smashed.Cordless drill, smashed. Assorted other tools, wrecked beyond use.I did not have a very good day. And i feel like shit.
Yikes! I had a similar day last time I got a bee sting. I am moderately allergic. Something about the venom caused an immediate aggressive reaction. I was working construction at the time, and cussed out the safery guy on the radio. He called me a pussy, or something, so he deserved it. I distinclty remember almost busting out the windshield of a truck with that radio, too. If it had not been for the 3 benadryls I took, I probably would heve. Nobody wanted to be anywhere near me for about 2 days after that, either.
Bummer about the tools and such, Neilo. Nope, not a good day at all. Hopefully, today will be better.
I hate spider bites. I had one that started small and grew to the size of a quarter. It got fairly deep, too. It was eating my skin up. By the time I got to the doc, it had run its course and there wasn't anything he could do to help. Brown Recluse, we had figured.
I have a round, white scar to remind me.
I've been leery around them ever since, but I still like the Tarantulas and Wolf Spiders.
Here's hoping yours heals up nicely.
And I highly doubt that neither your car insurance nor your health insurance would cover those damages. I wonder if you could weasel that in though...perhaps as comprehensive or such.
I think it is time for the ToE and Kzin to put our heads together and try to find you a loophole!!! A common enemy has been found!
No way, I like spiders....used to keep them for pets when I was a kid.
Sentient species taste better...
I used to have a rose hair tarantula. She was a sweetheart, except her food, crickets could drive you nuts
the female blue cobalt tarantula:
beautiful, but from what i understand, one hell of a mean streak.
Damn that is nice looking.
This is pretty close to what got me, though a little more darker.
It's a cousin to the Funnel Web, which i was glad to hear you can imagine. They look simiar, which is why i was worried at first.....
Funnel Web
Nice pics, Dys and Neilo.
Finally! this thread is starting to look like a comfy home. Amazing what a few well placed Arachnids can do
damn neilo those are some mean lookin spiders.
i was reading a cracked article the other day... 7 Terrifying Creatures You'll Never See Coming. amusing quotes:
"Ah, Australia. You knew it would turn up on this list. Why? Because it's home to things like the f**king stonefish, that's why."
"We're just going to say it now; between dingoes eating babies and the lack of a suitable crocodile hunter, Australia is overrun with creatures that want you dead. Even the bugs could care less about you."
The top one that got me was about half the size of a playing card, roughly. Scared the shit outa me still though.
Nice article.
Lol @ Dingoe eating babie...thats just a bad joke here now. And funnily enough i knew that family personally. they lived only in the next town from us. My mum and Lindy, mother of said babie used to attend the same family health clinic and saw each other socially for a few years around that time.
My latest game. A "Rush Mumbler" that focuses on speed, with score being a secondary concern. I did this one in about two weeks with some time off in there to work on some ZYDeths and a day or two away from the game. A concerted effort could crank one of these out in about a week after work. A more leisurely pace of 2 weeks is probably going to be the norm.
I've already given pretty much of a play by play as this unfolded, but I'll try to compile the elements of the Rush Mumbler to be posted for discussion.
Oddly, the year 1 score test on this was higher than my record game. I still think that giving up the extra points for speed is a good compromise though. I have some ideas to refine the approach, albeit at a lower score target.
Nice game mate!!!
Once again you have proven your might!!!!!
Awesome game Motti, congrats!
