I wanna be a sleeping evil! As soon as the metaverse works again, I'm joining up!
Hmmm...not sure what you mean about the MV? It seems to work fine for the rest of us, unless you're talking about the updates we're hoping to get from Stardock for the MV and forums.
Anyways, welcome to the forums! Always good to see new players coming around here.
The part that lets one start a new game seems to be down at the moment.
Hey, how come I only get one character with ultimate edition? Everyone else seems to have three.
-A Short Time Later-
I get it now. One per S/N. Nevermind.
hello SerArris. welcome to the ToE and GC2!
you should hop on over to the ToE website and register, www.tyrannyofevil.com. most of our chatter, both about GC2 and our miscelleneous BSing, takes place there.
Hi mate, welcome to the ToE!!
No, it's 3 characters for every registered copy of the game. Not sure whats happenining but you should be able to create two more characters.
Hi Ser Arris and welcome to the ToE!!!
Thanks!!! I think I'll like it here
I posted in one of the stickie threads about the character issue, so I expect that the crack team of Stardock experts will reveal the answer shortly. In the mean time, I'll just have to be 3x as good as the average new-hire (and 3x as mean).
Your avatar loks real familiar. Who dat?
Clive Owen, who played Lev Arris in Privateer II, The Darkening. A role I'm sure he probably would rather forget, considering his subsequent success.
Welcome to the ToE SerArris .
I was wondering about who the avi was as well, thanks for the clarification.
Welcome to the Tyranny, SerArris!
Thanks, guys! That's a really grate graphic, Motti!
Now, I'm going to slither back under my rock until I have a score to post.
I've been working on my galactic cookbook. I have the first recipe ready!
LIEUTENANT COUNT ALEJANDRO MONTOYA'S TASTY KZINTI QUESADILLAS
1 whole Kzinti or 4 Kzinti kittens1 c. black beans
1 c. diced onions
1/4 c. chopped cilantro
1/2-1 lb. Iconian cheese mix (or whatever you desire)1 pkg. taco seasoning (use to taste)1 pkg. flour tortillas
Skin Kzinti and fillet into one pound pieces (you can safely store extra Kzinti meat for several months in large Ziploc bags, with a marinade of your choice, by freezing them in hard vacuum and attaching the Ziploc bags to an external hull point on your battleship.) Rub meat with a mixture of salt, pepper, and chile powder and sear both sides in a cast iron skillet with olive oil. Remove seared Kzinti fillets and cut into small bite size pieces. Return to skillet at medium heat with some oil and mix in taco seasoning and a little water. Cook until water evaporates. Remove meat and place in a bowl. Mix in uncooked onions, cooked black beans, and cilantro. Clean skillet, return it to stove and place one tortilla in skillet on medium heat. Place several spoonfuls of mixture on top of tortilla and use spoon to spread over the tortilla. Cover mixture with cheese and place second tortilla on top. Cook for one minute, flip quesadilla, and cook on other side until cheese is well melted. Very, very yummy.
Serving suggestion: These tasty delicacies will be a hit with everyone, especially when served by nubile Altarian dancing girls you temporarily release from your slave pit to act as hostesses, but you should really try serving them at the next United Planets meeting. As your co-species rave about the exquisiteness of the flavor and your superiority in all things relating to quesadillas, offer to go to your ship and retrieve the recipe for them. Once onboard your battleship, move one parsec and destroy the planet with your terror star. These Kzinti quesadillas are even more exceptionally exquisite with the blood of all you enemies on your hands simultaneously.
If you are not warrior enough to secure your own Kzinti meat you can always substitute chicken, but remember.....
......Sentient Species Taste Better!
sounds good, but flour tortillas? corn's where the money is
CL, are you a fellow mexican boarder region denizen? *sigh* to my knowledge no one else in the empire knows the joy of the california burrito.
You lost me on that ingrediant list after the kittens. That and the cooking portion. Nice freshly mewing, kept at about 105 degrees F is the perfect Kzin Kitten for me.
loup, you haven't lived til you've tried gato asado.
But there you go cooking it again...
Eh, catch me before Tuesday and I'll try it, but Tuesday-Thursday I'm going gato crudo.
i didn't say anything about cooking it. though, when you're surrounded by fire and brimstone, meat doesn't stay raw for long.
Remind me again why I'm surrounded by fire and brimstone?
Dystopic apparently lives in his own personal hell, or at least virtually.
Seriously, what is with this ruining of perectly edible flesh by burning it? You non-Kzin species really need to get over that.
Sentient species taste better...
Just for my Kzinti friends (the ones I haven't eaten yet):
Geckodon Tartare
Skin and bone one Geckodon. Remove tail meat and put through an industrial grinder. Separate into one pound handfuls. It's fairly tasty as is, but for a real delight mince one-half of a white onion and combine with tail meat, 2 tsp of worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp of dijon mustard, 2 tsp of salt, and ground pepper to taste. Mix well. Again you may eat it now, but certain species prefer it served on toast points. Once you have satsified your sentient species hunger craving, throw the Geckodon bones and offal into your nearest slave pit for +1% social production. Use the Geckodon skin to make fashionable boots, wallets and headgear for +1% morale.
That's how we Geckodon execute prisoners and convicts. After the remains come out, the executioners will usually fight over the remains if they are eatable.
I think you only get the social production bonus if you provide the worcestershire sauce and dijon though......
Nah, they have a random effect to cause a hit in morale in case a large part of that population is allergic to mustard or are turned off by the fact worcestershireshire sauce is anchovy ketchup.
