You'll find a much more active forum at the Galactic Core Cardassian. As to the submission issue...Make certain that from the main game menu you hit the "Metaverse" button and NOT the "Play" button. Once you've logged into the metaverse you may then begin a "Metaverse" game. Please note that once you've started and saved a Metaverse game you only have to load it (rather than having to log into the MV again). Hope this helps.

Master U. As one or two of our members have pointed out you had a character in this empire and also an empire of your own. This constitutes a conflict of interest and your character 'future development' has been removed from the empire.
We welcome all communication from your self in this thread or at the Core, however access to the Diplomats threads at the Core has now been revoked.

TIP 1:
try to colonize the farther planet first and then the close ones... (everybody knows that right?)

Well, that suppose you have the time to reach farther planets before the AI grab those close to you

TIP 2:
don't spend money on trade ships and trade, in the end you only get from it 12 bc, but you spend 990 bc only on on trade ship...

Are you really sure? 12 Bc is generally what I get from the trade route when the minifreighter is near my planet (I play on large galaxy). But the trade route generates an income each turn that increases when the mini-freighter steadly until the mini-freighter reach the alien world. You can see it when looking on the trade tab in the economic screen (the one where you set sliders). 

Not to mention that trade ship is useful to increase slowly your relations with others races. And sometimes, you might want to rushbuy trade ship in order to have your trade network established and allow you to concentrate on other thing.

Good morning Diplos. Thanks for the tips Master U. Feel free to point out others. I use trade and get between 28-80 bc per trip. Tip 3: The longer the trade route is in existance the more you get per trip. My only complaint about trade is the limit of 12 trade routes with a Neutral bias, 10 otherwise. So I have 12 trade routes and the Galactic Council votes to add 3 more - sorry, only three more for those who haven't researched to get to the 10 or 12. I think that the extra three should be added to whatever you have and not be capped.

JJ. there is aa problem with this. Once you create an empire you cannot delete it. I created one when they were first available. A few people joined, but I decided to shut it down and join the Diplos. But I still have an Empire with no members.

You can however just add the deleted character to a different empire or at least delete the scores. Also Master U has two current characters in his own empire which is not shut down to members.

All we are saying is if you want to be a member of the Diplo's you need to make your old empire 'closed' and not have two 'active' empires on the go at once.

me too, that's why I don't like trade, and if you are playing for military conquest, you just spend money on them, and then they are worthless, because you will attack the enemy race you trade with, in the end...

I think it's the end of me Diplos

Unless you build/buy the trade wonder that protects your trade routes. I get it all the time and never suffer any of my trade routes being destroyed - except for the ones that go to the AI that I am at war with.

Not always. I go for the closest high quality (PQ 10+) planet first. As time passes my engine tech advances (I play on very fast research), so I keep designing faster colony ships allowing me to reach a distant planet in fewer turns than at the start of the game. Also those distant planets may be out of my range until I colonize planets in between my homeworld and them. Surely you don't send that slow core colony ship you start with to a distant star system!

no I don't have my own colony ship, and I am colonize the high PQ planets first, most of them are far from my homeworld, so I said that from my experience..

I like to reserve my trade for the minors if I'm playing any style other than "Political Victory". I also like to protect my minors' planet when they're about to be eliminated by surrounding thier planet with warships (8 ships placed one in each surrounding tile). Depending on the movement ability of the attacking AI, I can often leave an opening in the "blockade fleet" and rotate it turn after turn sending the attacking fleet in circles!

Finally moving up out of the basement. Haven't been able to find any Yor in my galaxies yet but I have squashed a few bugs latley.

Maybe I'll make my next game Yor and Thalan.
